The mysteries of the UK planning system have defeated us yet again. Having discovered that the building on the land we bought did not conform to the design that was approved in the original planning application we decided to try and regularise its existence with a further application. The evidence as to when it was constructed consisted of just google earth pictures but that there was no firm evidence that it had been used previously for agriculture it was suggested that we could withdraw our application without any penalty, so we did. So it seems we have a non building but no one is worried about it unless I guess we start making a nuisance of ourselves and someone complains.
